The Hideaway, a modern speakeasy hidden in Chelsea, opens with live music and DJ nights

The Hideaway, an art deco modern speakeasy, hidden just off Lower Sloane Street in Chelsea is now open for nights of wild abandon (or just a nice drink after work) with weekly live music nights on a Thursday with session musicians and DJ sets on a Friday and Saturday night for weekend partying. The Hideaway launches with a delicious and innovative cocktail menu and tasty bar food with an Asian European twist.

Cocktails have been inspired by The Hideaway’s iconic Chelsea location and hark back to its swinging days with concoctions including Hidden Gem and SW1W 8BP and a variety of Asian inspired cocktails from Cherry Blossom using Roku Gin and Yuzu Sale to a Sake Mojito and Takara Sinjiro, using Japanese whisky.

These slip down delightfully with one of the tantalising bar snacks that include Surrey farmed roast beef bao bun with cornichons and horseradish cream, black pudding croquettes with piccalilli dip and chickpea crackers with Cerney ash, crushed avocado and fresh orange.

What is a modern speakeasy? The Hideaway honours the spirit of the bootleg basements and swinging music of the past with an updated experience in sleek Art Deco surroundings and an exquisite food and beverage experience highlighted by fabulous music.

Boozy Brunch

For the morning after the night before, The Hideaway’s sister venue, Sloane Place Restaurant serves up one of the most diverse brunch menus in London for all appetites and dietary requirements. Their brunch classics are already legendary with locals with stacks of American pancakes and Belgian waffles to write home about to more refined dishes such as the signature Native lobster and tiger prawn burger and Roasted Cauliflower Salad. For an additional £25, diners can enjoy 120 minutes of unlimited Prosecco, Mimosa or Bloody Mary.

New Autumn Menu

Sloane Place Restaurant is one of Chelsea’s under the radar dining spots serving up excellent European cuisine with an Asian twist celebrating flavour, quality and freshness in a vibrant setting. The restaurant’s All Day Menu has been conjured up by German Executive Chef, Bernhard Mayer, and Javanese Head Chef, Maryono Maryono, using their favourite techniques and ingredients. Ushering in the autumn/winter season with warming and nourishing dishes, the new menu includes a hearty Slow Roasted Duck Confit and a fiery Chargrilled Cumin & Chilli Chicken.

With a central location, two minutes from Sloane Square tube station, The Hideaway and Sloane Place Restaurant are two buzzing locations to add to any must-try lists this autumn/winter.
